And the wheelbarrows did go down the path. The soft, muddy, squelchy path which was so in need of that aggregate.

A fighting fit GoodGym team of Liz, Caz, Sophie, Graham, Steve and James got stuck into a very physical task today. We helped CREOS volunteers in their work rebuilding one of the main pathways at the Crouch End Open Space.

Our task was to move piles of heavy aggregate by the barrow-load from one entrance of the pathway all the way along to where CREOS volunteer superhero David was rebuilding the path. We would dump the aggregate and he spread it out.

It was heavy work but we did great. We were joined by other local volunteers of all ages, and a couple of excited dogs too. Which always helps.

As is custom on CREOS workdays, we finished up with a picnic featuring lovely homemade sweet potato and coriander soup, cheese and chutney on crackers, cider and orange juice. And Liz brought biscuits too.
