On Monday evening, 6 regular Goodgym Islington runners met together at The Emirates Stadium for the first time since March! This was the first weekly group training session, inspired by our virtual challenges during the lockdown period.
Kenyan Hills was the main workout tonight, running a loop up and down the access slopes to the Arsenal football grounds.
12 minutes at half marathon or 60% effort (3 minutes walking/light jog rest) x 2
The aim of the game is consistency between the 2 hill running reps. Aiming to complete the same number of hill loops in both parts of the session.
Our crew did really well, absolutely smashing those slopes on a warm summer's evening. We even treated ourselves to an oreo biscuit or two after some stretches, in keeping with the GG Islington tradition!
