Report written by Simon Fitzmaurice
9 speedy Goodgymmers from lots of different London boroughs took on our "Killer Kilometre" challenge this month, in their local parks and on their neighbourhood streets. The session was created to be a progress marker for the kilometre distance (a really fun but tough run!), and we are planning on repeating the attempt on the first week of July to see how we get on.
Steve C and James ran out to Hackney Downs for their attempts (before joining us for our Saturday Morning Coffee Time meet-up. Sign up here!), while Kike accidentally over-ran her distance whilst running a loop around Drayton Park. Becca ran a local spin around the Wray Crescent Open Space and Lizzy did a great job of introducing a decent warm up and cool down before running a hard effort around Highbury Fields. Peter ran a smashing km around the pitches in Roding Valley, and Trainer Simon visited Victoria Docks for his attempt.
Wonderful to see some many excellent runs in lovely places. Well done everyone!
