King of the Hill
5 GoodGymers made their way to help their local community in Newham.
- Wednesday, 28th of October 2015
Success last night saw a team of 5 run from the London Aquatics Centre to the Urban Wilderness Community Garden just off of Balam St.
It was a mildly warm evening for a healthly spot of gardening. We weeded around and behind the water plant beds and did a spot of planting along the way. We made light work of our tasks and finished of the throwing all of the weeds into the compost area.
We then headed off home but not before 6 Hill reps in the way of Kenyan Hill. We ran up to the top of Plaistow Hill at 60% turn over followed by a 90% effort it was a short recovery to the bottom as we jogged down and ran back up the hill.
By the end of our six reps our thighs where burning our lungs where on fire and our glutes definitely felt pleasure of the hill reps.
We ran back to the aquatics centre in record time and so ended the evening with some Rocky style stair climbs and a stretch.
Well done! Amazing efforts all around as always!
