Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Gosia Rybacka
Gosia visited Mrs M in Camden today to provide help with getting rid of some boxes 📦 accumulated from her regular supplies 🛍 and medication 💊.
I arrived at 12 on the dot, walking straight from the Paddington Rec Junior Parkrun. I used the buzzer 🔔 but there was no reply so I called Mrs M on the number provided in the mission description. Her husband picked up, but at the same time their neighbour opened up the front door 🚪 and helped me get in the property.
I was welcomed by Mrs M's husband. Even before he started to explain the task, it turned out he locked 🔒 himself out of the flat. He got really concerned 😨 about that, started to breath really quickly and anxiously which started to worry me as well. I assured him that everything will be OK, that things like that happen and I can call help as needed (which calmed him down a little). He then reminded himself that he has a spare key 🔑 in a locker downstairs which he quickly run down to get. He came back and although initially the spare key didn't seem to work - eventually it did. Mrs M's husband was really relieved and sat down on the stairs to calm himself down 🧘♀️.
Everything was back under control. He explained me the task - I needed to flatten the boxes placed outside of the flat, pack them into the rubbish bag(s) and take out to the recycling ♻️ bins just outside of the property. It was quite straightforward and hasn't taken me much longer than 25 mins.
Before leaving the property I knocked to Mrs M's flat to give back the bags and also wish a nice (and hopefully less stressful) rest of the day to Mrs M's husband. I really hope it turned out to be like that!

Well done, Gosia. Good work on helping Mrs M's husband get grounded in a stressful situation.
