Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances here at we were unable to do our planned task of sorting clothes at Rhythms of Life. Instead we faced the much longer 4 mile round trip to St Saviour's Church in Pimlico (which turned out to be 5 1/2 miles as Cory later admitted) where I mission would be to make the church yard look pretty and shiny again.
Not to be daunted we set off at a good pace and, managing to avoid most of the Christmas shoppers and / or commuters, we made our way down New Bond Street, through a eerily dark St James's Park and on toward our destination.
We arrived at St Saviour's thoroughly hot and bothered as we had all misjudged how warm the evening was going to be. However, there was no time to dwell on this as we only had 15 minutes to clear the church's garden of leaves and get back to base in time. Arming ourselves with brooms, gloves, head torches and bin liners we set to work and within a short space of time we had the courtyard looking spick and span.
The journey back was made more entertaining by attempting to think of leaf related puns for our run report and playing a ridiculously complicated exercises related word association game.
A big thank you to everyone who took part, hopefully we will see you all next week!
