Tonight was hot. The kind of hot that made you just want to sit in a beer garden and drink cider. But sitting in a beer garden drinking cider isn't the kind of behaviour that will change the world (although after a few ciders I will swear blind it will). Ignoring the call of the pub and in a bid to make a difference, twenty of Lambeth's finest skipped the pub and headed to Myatt's fields to help Guy from Streetscape clean up the park.
Logs were lifted, woods was carried for miles (ok, meters) and a pile of branches bigger than Buckingham Palace was shovelled. An all over upper-body work out.
To complete the evening burpees, squats and sprint were carried out for 15 minutes, ensuring everybody went home feeling tired but happy (I think. I hope).
