After smashing out a couple of Parkrun PBs, GoodGym York members Sean and Leanne made their way to Glen Gardens in Heworth to play tug of war with a whole bunch of ivy.

Picking up from where the last GoodGym mission team left off, we continued our assault on the holly and ivy that was growing around the base of bushes and climbing the trees around the edge of the park. At one point, Leanne nearly got lost inside a laurel bush after following a particularly long length of ivy around to its roots. Luckily Sean was on hand to guide her back to civilisation!

Four wheelbarrows full of ivy, a tea break and a chocolate biscuit later, the laurels were looking much happier for a bit of breathing space.

Mission accomplished!
