Miss A is needing help with her garden. The neighbours have complained about the state of it and she is not able to manage all the work that needs doing.

I called her to check she knew I was coming and used my lunch break to run over and take some photos for Westbank Community Charity in order to see what needs doing. The run took me through some lovely bits of my local area I had never explored before.

When I arrived we had a good chat in the front garden as she explained about the problems she had sorting out her garden. Miss A isn't very mobile and over the last few months the weeds and bushes had started to take over. She has looked into getting the wood and glass deposited at the local recycling centre but had been told it would incur significant cost which she can't afford.

In addition to this her family had knocked down a dangerous conservatory at the back for her but the contents of which has been piled up where it had stood an remained there for a long time. If you looked hard enough you could see evidence of some nice features like a pond and a couple of sheds.

We talked about what needed doing and the shrubs she is fond of in the garden and I took lots of photos.

I explained I'd send the photos back to Westbank who would be in touch about seeing if we could help her get it under control and possibly help remove some of the rubbish.
