Making too many A-zoom-tions
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Southwark.
- Monday, 17th of August 2020
Hi there! Today I helped the lovely Mrs D with learning how Zoom worked. In my usual m.o. of presuming that I am the smartest person in the room, I swaggered into Mrs. D's house, and was all ready to lord my technological superiority over her!
Of course, the universe has a sense of humour! Mrs D was well aware of how to use Zoom, and just wanted to check that she was turning off a her camera correctly when she was done with the call. I should have listened to her more, but instead I went through a whole 20 minutes teaching her how to log in and a bunch of other things - which she probably already knew. However (hopefully) she said I taught her a couple of new things and she did too! After leading me through her IMMACULATE garden (I should know, I've done enough gardening missions), she showed me a shortcut to Peckham, which cut my running time by about a km. Thanks Mrs. D!
And off I went back into a blissfully cooler day. Lovely to see and chat with you Mrs D!
*I forgot to take a picture so here is the zoom call, where her boss turned herself into a potato, and couldn't turn herself back.
