An emotional evening at Stepney City Farm for the 8 super troopers who were prepared to fight the miserable drizzle for the final page of this season's chapter for GGTH Tower Hamlets at our beloved SCF. Task owner Siobhan was keeping us well organised and giving us all a lesson in effective supervision... :P as usual and split us into two teams:

Team Drawing the Short Straw (Charlotte and Ivy) swept the yard to make sure it was looking super- beautiful for this week's visitors, then added the straw and other bits to compost phase 1 to begin

Team "Compost Happens" (Becky, Isabelle, Nina (looking great in her brand new Goodgym t shirt), Senorita Paula, Sree and myself) were on composting duty - we were definitely feeling the romance in the air at the end of this season's love affair with SFC, as we recalled that it was 3 months ago that we had started this summer's chapter by sweeping the straws out of the barns and the yards, then following that straw through four phases of composting, and today, finally moving it back to base to be used in the perennial fruit garden to start growing some tasty fruit and veg.

Keeping with traditions we finished with a quick Hugo / beer / Essex wine to wash down our pizzas for as long as possible, until we conceded we were going to get drenched on the way home.

This evening's shout out to... Sree for this week's pun - here is the credit you have been messaging me all evening to give you. Sree is also the only Goodgymer that went to every farm task this year, that most definitely deserves a cheer
