SESSION ORGANISER
Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Simon Loughran
A big welcome to Tim who joined us for the first time tonight. Great efforts, especially on those relays!
Tonight's job was to spread the word about the Mayton Street Festival. There's loads going on at the festival on 8th July including a bouncy castle and free food. Get yourself down.
We popped over to Mayton Street to grab the flyers from Lynne and set about delivering them to local streets. Being super efficient as always this took us no time at all and we had the opportunity to head back to Highbury Fields and spend some time on a four-team three person relay. Three practise sessions working on various techniques and then a big handicapped smackdown with burpees, press ups, squats and calf raises according to how speedy teams were and how much they needed to be penalised.
Team Chris, Frances and Jacqui won by MILES and were awarded extra biscuits for their efforts. Speaking of biscuits, we're going homemade next week when Meg is baking!
Debate of the evening: What's the worst injury you could have (that you can recover from within a week - thanks, Ben for the suggestion that provoked slightly less gruesome responses)?
Sprained ankle, paper cuts, burning the roof of your mouth, food poisoning (does that count as an injury?) were all offered. Back to light-hearted debate next week.
Be happy,
Simon
