18 Goodgymers ran 4-5k to help Single Homeless Project + fitness fun!
Thanks for coming along guys, no newbies but lots of new and old faces - lovely!
In the news this week:
We collected together and talking about the news above we then did our standard warm up and headed North by North-West. This was week two of running into the light, I don't know about you but I loved it!
After around 2k of running we arrived at the right hostel on Mercer Road. We were met by Regina who had just returned from India! There was around 1 ton of warm woodchip to move, we split into groups shovelling, moving the bags and emptying it in a big pile.
The Single Homeless Project is a fantastic charity that helps to look after homeless people in our community, giving them shelter, support and providing much needed services. Over 15 mins we'd quickly conquered the task - nice one. We took a group picture, said our goodbyes to Regina and then headed to Tufnell Park (yes there is actually a park in Tufnell!).
Fitness fun
First off everyone did a lap of the football pitch at 10k effort, this then gave me the numbers to pair you up for the games to come:
Everyone worked hard, pushed themselves but importantly not too much. We then ran back to base via Holloway Road and the Coronet for stretches and HOB NOBS!
Next week we are helping Mildmay Centre and the Police! Sign up here.
