Mess, Shear, Mess, Shear, Three Bags Full!
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Islington.
- Saturday, 4th of November 2017
Brrr! It's officially autumn, and on a drizzly Saturday morning Becky and Steve teamed up for a second Goodgym visit to tame Mr. W's garden. Picking up where Patrick and Steve left off a couple of weekends ago, there was more lopping and chopping of giant brambles and clearing of some of the brush that once covered the entire garden and patio.
Goodfellers
Sadly a small tree was growing too close to the house and had been earmarked for the chop. Becky clipped some branches while Steve channelled his inner lumberjack to fell a mighty redwood (or used a small bow saw to cut through a 2-inch trunk, your choice).
We were visited again mid-task by a local council representative, who is quickly becoming a fan of Goodgym and rolled up his sleeves to help out!
Three construction bags full of garden waste are the measure of the effort, but this will also make a big difference to Mr. W. His flat now benefits from more light, and a much tidier looking view from his back window.
