A group of 13 GoodGym Yorkies came to the York Racecourse to take part in the intervals workout.
Amy, Steph and Louise took part in the virtual version, making the total number of participants 16.
We started with a warmup, then a short jog before setting off for a 1 minute sprint, followed by 2 minutes of easy jog to catch our breath and recover before the next sprint. We repeated the sprint and easy jog alternately for the whole 3k of the Racecourse lap. Everyone run at their own pace and most of us covered the lap doing six 1 minute sprints.
You could hear people catching their breath when they were coming back to the meeting point, meaning they did the workout properly.
Fastes finishers were given a set of movents, namely: forward lunge, arm circles, reverse lunge, jumping jacks and squats to occupy them while waiting for everyone to finish.
Back at the meeting point the head count confirmed that noone got lost. To finish the session we did a set of stretching movements.
Get ready, as hill repetitions have been suggested for next week.
