Find out about GoodGym TaskForce

On a humid sticky drizzly Tuesday evening 15 superheroes headed back to St Lukes to attack the back garden and rid it of nasty nettles, the question we asked ourselves was were we on Mare Street or in Mumbai?

For some strange reason it would appear the clouds knew exactly when GoodGym started as the moment we stepped outside the beautiful E5 bake house the sky opened up purely for their own amusement.

A quick welcome to both the new and old and off we went. Two to a mission with neck high weeds and the rest of us a steady jog to the nearby church.

We arrived safely and split into teams. One headed into the nearby estate to put up posters for the upcoming community day, one arranged the chairs in preparation for the next wave of kiddies and the rest of us attacked the nasty nettles with gloves that were clearly perfect for this job.

After a deep debate on the marriage timeline and whether or not we still lived in a world where people ask people's fathers for hands in marriage the 45 minutes flew by. We got a lot done but we will definitely be back in the coming weeks to finish the job.

We said our goodbyes and headed to the estate, entered the block at the ground floor and began a succession of ninja like drills up and down the 8 storey building. After 20 minutes, glutes, calves and quads tingling we made the short journey back to GGHackney for some stretching, a debrief and further discussion with those who had fun at the mission.

Great crowd, great task, great evening.
