It was a night of DIY for many of us this evening! The farm are refurbing their staff and volunteer room and that meant, yep, flat pack furniture to assemble!

So, half of this evening's willing volunteers set to work in pairs to meet the challenge of creating a set of viable set of stand alone bookcases. After some initial confusion caused by us comparing off progress on one half-made bookcase against another before realising we actually had two different varieties on our hands (I'm sure there's a helpful life lesson in there....) progress in all corners of the farm courtyard was swift. Once again, goodgym teamwork and practicality won through!

Meanwhile, a second group were hard at work with some wider farmyard tasks, from sweeping the paths, clearing the children's play area of multiple wheelbarrows of compost, and the painstaking task of removing some pesky bindweed.

Once again, an hour went incredibly fast but much was achieved before unwinding with a post task social gathering at the Allotment Cafe.

Great to see everyone again, and look forward to having you back hopefully in a few weeks!
