This morning Gareth and Nina were set with the challenge of helping Mr and Mrs T hang some new curtains. Usually the duo were tasked with gardening around Greenwich, so were a little daunted at the task at hand.

Hanging curtains is not as simple as it seems. There were the strings to tie, the pleats to measure out, the hooks to fit. Sounds simple you are thinking.. so were we, until the string came loose and we had Mr T nearly burn through curtain by trying to singe the end of the thread. That small detail aside, Gareth (named engineer by Mr T) and Nina (named glamorous assistant by Mrs T) set to hanging the new curtains.

Lots of chat about how Gareth avoids setting fire to his beard in this day Job, and how Nina is going off to the Theatre and resisted making a new dress out of Mr and Mrs T’s old vintage curtains.

As we left Mr and Mrs T gave us a banana to fuel us for our run round the park. Without a doubt one of my favourite missions (I know we aren’t supposed to have favourites..). Leaving Mr and Mrs T waving thankfully at the door, Gareth and I certainly felt as though it was us that should be thankful having spent the morning with such a lovely couple. See you again soon Mr and Mrs T.
