Anne and I arrived at Mr A's front door slightly windswept as the tail end of this weekend's storm continued on its merry path through this part of London. Fortunately Mr A was very welcoming, and led us into his warm living room and pointed out the task at hand, which involved taking down some temporary net curtains that had been taped onto the rail above the window, and, using curtain wire threaded into the suitably sized net curtain, hanging this curtain properly to fully cover the living room window.

After a short planning meeting on how best to take on the task with the equipment provided, we got to work threading the wire, measuring and then cutting down to the actual length of wire required, attaching the necessary hook eyes into the wire at both ends, and then screwing in the other hooks suitably spaced into the wooden rail. With this done, it was then a case of hooking the wire at both ends and into the supporting hooks in the middle - Mr A gave us a smile and thumbs up when he was the end result - task one complete.

He then pointed to the kitchen window, and without further ado or need for a further meeting, we repeated the exercise, albeit only after a bit of scrambling around by Mr A to find us some more hooks. Fortunately this was a smaller curtain, and it hung ok when attached at both ends of the frame which was lucky as we had no further hooks to use.

Mr A then got his phone out and through the miracle of google translate (I'm sure other translation apps are available) was able to explain that he hadn't been provided with wire and hooks for the third curtain in his bedroom and that this would also need to be done once he'd got these - we said we'd report back to GoodGym to confirm this requirement.

As a famous powerfully voiced food named theatrical singer/actor from the 1970's/80's once sang "two out of three ain't bad"...
