The sun came out and so did the dogs at Saltwell junior parkrun in Gateshead this morning. We were back in what's becoming a regular slot for us as a mini GG takeover.
Due to a horrible fire that had taken place in the park last week, the start line was in a different place today but thankfully the children (including one randomly dressed in a dinosaur suit!) didn't seem to notice or mind! We filled six roles between five people: Aimee and Eleanor were marshalling, Paul and I were timekeeping while Charlotte did both the First Timer's Briefing and finish tokens!
There was an excellent collection of friendly dogs at the finish area today and I had to be very careful to not get distracted. Job done and I headed off on a cycle back home with careful instructions from Charlotte and Eleanor. I had blue skies all the way, another perfect parkrun sort of Sunday.
