Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Run Report by - Isabella Besong
Meanwhile in the big smoke 9 Goodgymers unabated by the storm that had been raging just a few hours before set off for some Good Clean(ing) fun in Victoria.
The task was to help St Margaret’s Activity Centre with a little bit of a spring clean - more specifically clean the dirt blackened glass windows, all 12 panes of them!!! YIKES.
St Margarets is an amazing community facility that host a variety of activities on behalf of Open Age. They provide a wide range of physical, creative and mentally stimulating activities to enable older people to develop new skills, fulfill their potential and make new friends. I could not think of a more worthy cause to roll up our sleeves and sure for!
En-route to the venue there was a brief stop for some running technique perfecting drills in Green Park. With a backdrop of Buckingham Palace, Ellie gave our muscles *A Royal seeing to with: * Walking Lunges * Split kicks * 2 Step Hops and Runs * Grapevines
Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Caroyln with a feast of yummy biscuits.
30 mins of some thorough window cleaning, with the life lesson that newspapers can make your windows glisten, we once again braved the bustling streets of central London, cruising on back to Westminster.
All in all a lovely run with some good life lessons thrown in for good measure!
My favourite being that it might be raining cats and dogs all day but the sun will shine on GoodGyers doing good deeds (literally and metaphorically speaking of course).
Lovely to see everyone who came out and looking forward to more run fun next week!"
Have a good rest of the week!
