Ms K worried when I arrived that it would be difficult for one person to finish the task she had in mind in fact she almost suggested it might not be worth starting.

But, I managed to persuade her that even if I couldn't lift all the stones and rake them clear as she had envisaged, then at least I could try a little weeding and see how things looked

Well after a couple of hours sitting and pulling weeds in the pleasantly cool breeze and meeting Ms K's friendly little dogs I think she agreed that the front garden looked a lot tidier so maybe a return trip isn't required after all.
