7 Goodgymmers from various Goodgym boroughs (Islington, Camden and Harringey) helped to set up a special "Stars in their Eyes" afternoon performance with North London Cares, and the older residents of Highbury Quadrant.

We began with setting up chairs and tables in Birchmore Hall, a community centre close to Clissold Park, towards the decorated stage. Sandwiches, fruit and sweets were them prepared and distributed in the kitchen before the guests started to arrive. Tea and coffee was served up to the residents as they took their seats, and the volunteers took their own seats to enjoy the show, and we took the opportunity to chat to our participants.

We enjoyed performances by Tom Jones, Neil Diamond and Hank Williams throughout the afternoon, and finished the event with a full Goodgym Macarena! A lovely afternoon- we'll sure to be back again soon.
