Not the best call timing but it worked out

I felt a bit guilty when Mr C answered the phone as I could hear loud voices in the background and it turned out I’d interrupted his online fitness workout! Though he insisted it was fine so I asked him how he was getting on and if there was anything he needed help with.
He said he was getting on okay and explained the fitness workouts were actually part of the support he received due to his mental health condition and they had been transferred to zoom because of COVID. After checking there was no support with shopping or prescriptions needed, I ended the call so he could get back to his workout!
I then received a call for a women called Mrs R. She was getting on okay as helpful her neighbours were currently collecting her shopping for her. She did mention how the neighbours didn’t have a car so I said if she ever needs any heavier items she could always ask a volunteer responder to get these. She also spoke about her husband who is shielding but has been told he can now go outside but is understandably quite anxious about leaving the house. She did say he has come out in the car with her and seems to be taking small steps which I said sounded like a good approach. We finished the call and she said it had been lovely getting to talk to someone.
