My final mission of the day reunited me with Anne, with whom I'd previously built a bed in Hackney.

Today's mission was to... build a bed... in Hackney (although, to be fair, it was a different part of Hackney, and we also got to take outside a mattress, so it wasn't quite groundhog day-esque :))

The new bed will hopefully allow Mr M to be more comfortable on his release from hospital: he'd broken his ankle during an encounter with an errant cyclist, and his wife had ordered a bed that was a little higher up to make it easier for him to get in and out of. A previous GoodGym mission had dismantled the old bed, and her experience with them had made her keen to use our help again to assemble the new bed 😄

On arrival, we found that Mrs M had already started assembling the bed and we just needed to start connecting the bigger bits together.

Like our previous mission, I commandeered the instructions sheet while Anne (I assume happily?) did the actual work. I think a true measure of my contribution can be found in the fact that when Anne was halfway through screwing the slats on, Mrs M passed me the remaining screws to dole out to Anne as needed, saying "Will you be ok with that?" 🤣 Let's just say that I coped :)

Bed assembled (top job, Anne! :)), new mattress on, and old mattress out, we said farewell to Mrs M, nipping off before the nippy air got to us. Lovely working with you again, Anne, & hope to see you again soon! 😄
