The sun (mostly*) shined on us in this lovely coastal setting for the second fixture of this Gwent League cross country season

After a warm up dash from the car park to the start line, thanks to unexpected traffic in Llanelli, Lucy, Ellen and Lisa set off on the 7km course. Sadly Julie missed the start by just moments, so served as GoodGym cheer squad instead.

The course at Pembrey offers different challenges to the usual muddy cross country routes, in the form of sand and some short but steep climbs up the dunes. Thankfully the gorgeous scenery, and a bonus rainbow, took our minds off the gruelling course.

After the ladies race, Nathan set off as the sole GG representative in the 10k Senior Mens race (our "small but perfectly formed" team, as described by the man at race registration!)

Well done to everyone, and looking forward to seeing you at the next race in Bristol in December!

  • there may have been some rain... but there really was sunshine too!
