Painternator ποΈπ
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Lambeth.
- Thursday, 2nd of September 2021
After an eventful day at Oval with the cricket, it was Gaby and my turn to take our bats (paint brushes) out in Mr. H's garden. He called us over as his newly bought patio needed a coat of wooden protection.
Firstly, we had to help Mr. H had to take off a play mat which he uses to cover the top of the patio floor, but upon taking it off, Gaby realised there were loads of ants (and ant eggs) living underneath. Mr. H rushed to get ant powder to scary and kill off the ants before we could proceed with any work.
Once the ants were either killed, in hiding or swept away, we proceeded with using a paint brush (Sam's weapon of choice) and roller (Gaby's weapon of choice) to oil up the patio with wood protector.
We managed to coat the whole patio in an hour and 20 minutes, however, Mr. H reckons a second coating is needed 24 hours later. We hope Mr. H manages to get some help, but it was a great evening to spend with him and hopefully, he can enjoy his BBQs and family time on the patio soon!

Dear Sam and Gabby, thank you so so much for your help! I don't know how you coped with the ants, they are literally my Kryptonite! I would have ran for the hills! I used to live at the Oval looking in at the cricket - it was brilliant, I'm so glad you had a great day. Thank you both again. Sarah
