In the news this week:
Onto the GoodGyming:
After an active warm up we headed around the corner to St Mary's Flats to meet the lovely Jon. Our tasks was to paint the inside of the flat walls RED (for GG obvs) and to do some general clearing up around the public space.
Painting Camden Red
Anyone who had done over 50 good deeds, the lucky 8 I'll call them, were put to work clearing the public space of moss, rubbish and weeds. Nice work guys!
The remaining 16 GGers set to work preparing the walls for paint - scraping off one section, masking tapping the edges and wiping it down.
Masking tap!
The painting led by Isabelle's excellent direction and the groups amazing brush stroking was done in record time. With Jon shocked and time to spare we turned to the next wall and stairs to repeat the task at hand.
Round up
We packed up and were led by our official photographer Chris to Regents Park Inner Circle for our fitness session.
We first did an out and back along the approach road trying to test our pacing. Then onto our time trial around the 1km Inner Circle itself.
3, 2, 1 - GO!
Setting off in two groups people pushed it or jogged gently, depending how they felt. George was in first with 3.38, closely followed by Steve and Arjun. Everyone did amazingly with many going faster than they predicted.
After our jog home the quick way we stretched and celebrated the award news!
Sign up for next week here, we are off to shovel soil for Skip Garden and finish off this weeks painting.
PB out.
