After a spot of “finding the pavement along the road” confusion, Gabby and Samia arrived at Ms Q’s for a Sunday afternoon mission. Ms Q asked if we could focus on the front garden, in particular weeding the borders, de-mossing/de-weeding the driveway paving and carrying some bags of sand to the back garden.

Armed with plenty of tools, Gabby weeded her way through one of the big borders. They were those irritating little weeds that take forever to remove one at a time, but Gabby did a thorough job and worked her way through the entire bed.

Ms Q provided some screwdriver-seque tool for the paving task and Samia showed the moss who is boss (well, half of the moss as it was a huge driveway with hundreds of paving bricks and impossible to work through in one mission).

We tidied away and then got to work on the sandbag carrying: a bonus free upper-body strength training session for us both and great teamwork in not dropping the bags (they were rather heavy and awkward to carry!). With the sandbags relocated, we bid Ms Q farewell - unfortunately we were only able to do about half of the front garden and none of the back garden, but hopefully a return mission can be scheduled to continue the work.

Great job on your first mission Gabby - enjoy your coach visit tomorrow and hopefully the route to your next mission won’t be so confusing!
