5 runners collected 5 big bin liners of litter in Wonford Playing fields this lovely sunny evening and finished it all off with a core session. Nothing can beat that feel-good feeling of having completed a good deed and got a fit at the same time. AMAZING!

It was a such a beautiful evening and it could not have been better spent than meeting up with some of our wonderful GoodGym volunteers in Wonford park to help clear up the litter that unfortunately has gathered there over the last few lockdown months.

We worked with safe distance between us at all times, following all current guidelines. In 45 minutes we filled 5 bin liners with plastic bottles, cans, wrappers, crisp bags and cardboard. Craig even found some fake eyelashes!

It was absolutely brilliant to walk around and chat, just like the old good days! Local residents walking past also thanked us for our work which also was lovely!

After our good deed was completed we spread ourselves out in a nice open spot for a little core session. 5 different types of plank, some russian twists and some Roxanne burpees.. It is just the best to do good and get fit with you guys! Big thank you to Ludwell Life for arranging litter-pickers and getting us involved with this brilliant task!

I can’t wait for our next Community Mission, more details on this will be up on the website soon so keep your eyes peeled.
