Find out about GoodGym TaskForce

Share the love

Last night's run was a good one, after a little warm up to loosen up and get the blood pumping we made our way over to the edge of the park to the lime green blocks of The View Tube. Paul was patiently waiting for us, ready to dish out our equipment for our clear up task of the evening.

  • litter pickers ...check
  • gloves...check
  • bin bags....check
  • torches.....cough cough, no!!!...just me then (it should've given me an advantage, however, I'm sure the others have some type of in built night vision so it didn't)

We split in half and planned on a 'weigh in' at the end to see who had collected the most rubbish, it was quite alarming at just how much litter we came across along the Greenway.

Our running task was to find a little bit of speed. (not Usain Bolt speed, but some Seb Coe speed) The team had two options: a 1k circuit for 3 laps or a 1.6k circuit for 2 laps. We ended up doing the later, the first lap was a dry run - going through a few drills along the way and making use of god technique to get up the hill in the middle as efficient as possible. The second lap was just about the running - speed it up, maintain and go as quick as your little legs will take you.

Same time next week troopers

Kirsty
