On GoodGym Portsmouth's 2nd Birthday I ventured off of Portsea Island to visit Mrs. J and hopefully reconnect her drain pipe. Mrs. J was wonderful at keeping her distance, directing me to her garden to take a look at the dismantled pipe to see if it was fixable.

Armed with garden gloves & a mask, I inspected the back wall and noticed a broken bracket which was originally holding the lower end of the pipe up. This needed a complete replacement which I notified Mrs. J of, but decided in the meantime the pipe could definitely be slid back on and hopefully hold till she could have a repair man visit!

Her neighbor a few doors down was ever so helpful lending us her ladder, which I took back to Mrs. J's to be able to reach the upper part of the pipe and lodge it back into place, followed by the lower part as well! Mrs. J seemed quite happy (and impressed!) asking if I was a builder but I told her sadly no, just lucky to have a DIY crazed other half who had dislodged our drain pipes earlier this morning to show me what to do!

A quick jaunt back to the neighbor's to drop off the ladder followed by the scenic route home (where I took a photo having forgotten to at the task)! Overall, a great way to start the day!
