Playing Hunt the Sausage
8 GoodGymers made their way to help their local community in York.

8 lovely litterpickers congregated outside the co-op to collect their kit. Bags and pickers in hand we divvied up to tackle the sneaky snickets and tricky trash. Max and Emma joined Michal who knew the particularly littersome spaces thanks to his work in the area, whilst Amy, Christine and Louise took the left to Craig and mine's right. Lucky they did, for we soon came across a fearsome sight. What appeared initially to be a gray, pallid piece of meat on the verge, turned out to in fact to be a gray, pallid toy sausage. With a face. Suitably disturbed we rejoined our comrades for comfort and headed deeper into the housing estate.
Soon there was yet another snicket, so divided once more we went our separate ways, never to be seen again. That is until a phone call from Max interrupted our picking reverie;
We're going to head back to the car. No idea where we are, but we'll try and head back...
Craig and I attempted to rapidly finish our square/communal garden with decorative rockery, but we were thwarted by a particularly persistent hedge. When that was finally picked clean (enough) we emerged through a handy snicket to find that all others had safely returned from who-knows-where and we had 8 bag of rubbish to show for it. Huzzah!
