Tonight I met up with Rosanna for a mission in Westminster for Mrs V.

Mrs V is currently in hospital and hopes to be released home next week. To effect this, some space needs to be made in her flat for some hospital equipment. GoodGym were asked if we could help with this by moving a two seater sofa from a living room to a bedroom.

Despite being terrible with faces and completely forgetting that I'd met her before (apologies again, Rosanna! šŸ˜…), I felt confident in assuming that the person wandering around in lycra and with a phone in her hand would be a fellow GoodGymmer. Thankfully the intuition proved correct, and I wasn't randomly soliciting strangers on the streets of Westminster šŸ˜„šŸ‘šŸ»

Compiling information from Google, a local map and scrawlings on a building intercom, we managed to find the correct building and buzzed up to Mrs V's husband, Mr V.

Mr V had thoroughly prepared for our arrival: he'd removed all of the pesky sofa cushions that often fall off mid-move, and had cleared a bookcase from the entryway of the bedroom to make it easier to get through. Perfecto! šŸ‘ŒšŸ»

This meant that all Rosanna and I had to do was stand the sofa up and L-shape it around and through a few doors and a hallway (trying not to bump too many objects along the way, and with Rosanna spotting any hitherto unspotted doorway obstructions mid-move). It was basically a lot of spinning of furniture (think waltzing furniture through doorways and me saying "L-shape" a lot more than strictly necessary).

With the job taking mere minutes, we doubled our time there by moving the bookcase back into position, putting the cushions back onto the sofa, and saying hello to Mrs V's budgies before saying goodbye to Mr V. All-in-all, I was back on a tube within 20 minutes of our start time.

It was too brief seeing you, Rosanna: Hope to catch you on a longer mission soon! šŸ˜„

I still mentally thank Islington's Ernestas Jegorovas every time I use that trick šŸ˜„
