Usual early start for Steph Ducat at the ESK Friday Hub and upon arrival noticed that on different areas to be covered during the day as doing the usual several shifts. Start with assisting the chef Sabbah in the kitchen to get food cooked and ready for 1pm as expecting hungry guests. So chopping with the other kitchen assistants : garlic, brocoli, carrots, potatoes etc...Then helping Sabbah with putting the heavy trays in the oven. StephDucat loaded the heavy trays with his "puppet friends"...check the picture !!!These 2 puppets started talking and entertaining the team who laughed and wondered if Steph was going crazy 🤣🤣. Then big mission for Steph, was to prepare the mash in the 2 massive pots : potatoes, some oil, milk, salt and a lot of elbow grease and needed to smash the spuds!!! After a successful mash mob, Steph had to drain the boiling water from the massive pots of broccoli and vegetables. Heavy and hot : Steph got a few free sauna's as the steam was surrounding his upper body and face. To finish off before the start of the service, Steph cut the 4 cheesecakes ready to be platted and also got some apple strudel ready to be baked in the oven. As 1 pm was approaching, the team was getting all the food and plates ready to go out.
