There were only 3 volunteers for the City Harvest Tuesday evening shift at Acton Park but we were an experienced crew and we took crating donations from Nando’s for the freezer, sorting bread, crating the evening Amazon delivery and a bit of flower arranging in our stride.

Our secret weapon was Keith, who joined City Harvest at around the same time as me (at the start of lockdown) and recently completed 500 hours of volunteering . He also completed a sponsored 12 hour Everest challenge , raising over £2600 (and rising) for City Harvest, with ascents of Highgate Hill accumulated the vertical elevation of Everest (8,848 metres).
