It was a bit of a drizzly evening for tonight's Group Run... π¦
We met at the Bridge House and warmed up on our way down to Cator Park where we met Lou and Jill from the friends group and also Holly who was already cracking on with our task.
There are some young saplings (which we helped to plant!) growing, but to make sure they're getting the maximum amount of water and nutrients from the soil, our job was to clear the greedy weeds and grass growing around them before mulch was added.
After we'd blitzed 6 saplings, we did a little raking of the paths under the fir trees. Lots of needles had fallen so we were widening the path and the needles could go on a compost pile!
We then departed in our separate directions. π
Nice work gang!
