Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by James Gilbert
On the sunny last day of September, two GoodGymers completed a gardening mission in Finchley.
This Saturday morning mission saw us removing a huge thorn plant, sweeping up leaves and cutting back a pear tree - all to make the garden a bit more accessible for Mr J, who’s currently not able to do so himself.
Mr J seemed very pleased with our efforts. So much so, we decided to write the run report as a revised somewhat popular song. Because completing any GoodGym mission is reason to celebrate!
Without further ado, we present: “The Twelve Days of (late September) GoodGym”
“On the last day of September, my GoodGym mission gave to me:
Twelve birds a-humming, Eleven green waste bags sagging, Ten heaps of sweeping, Nine spade blows lancing, Eight spiders spying, Seven bushes o’ trimming, Six ginormous overgrown hybrid weed-trees swaying, Five hunnn-dred thorrr-ny stings, Four ancient tools, Three moments of zen, Two pairs of gloves, And an epiphany* under a pear tree!”
*Graham was clocked on the head by a falling pear and subsequently re-discovered the existence of gravity. None of us were ever the same again :D

10/10 one of my fave missions to date!
Barnet
It will help make the reservoir cleaner and safer for visitors and the many plants, birds and animals that live there.
