As I was walking home today from my GG mission- the GoodSam alert went.

I called and decided to do a loop of the bunny park while I chatted as the sun was still out.

I accidentally started the call with ‘Hi this is Emily from Good-gym... Instead of GoodSam; mistake... She laughed at this and I explained the mix up. Similar names, goodsam you could have made it easier for me!

I spoke to Miss F from Liverpool. Miss F has been really fed up of pandemic, lockdown and the hot weather. She referred to it ‘all coming at once’

Miss F didn’t have any family support and her only sister had unfortunately caught COVID working in the hospital; although was apparently doing well, which was good to hear.

Miss F was upbeat, despite being isolated, she talked happily about her community of friendly neighbours and how they spent the evening chatting over the gardens until midnight last night. This was lovely to hear as she was genuinely surprised at how the time flew by and was so happy to socialise from a distance.

Shows the power of connection and community once again!

We chatted about how I love Liverpool and how my hometown is very close by. She asked where about I was at the moment. We chatted about the change in weather and what we were both having for our tea.

We both agreed, Scousers are the salt of the earth.

I wished Miss F well and said goodbye. A nice chat to have after a goodgym mission.

Enjoy the pink fluffy phone!
