Report written by Emmanuella Contopoulou
7 Good Gymers arrived for the last session of the day in South Acton.
Most of them have helped in all three of them! in one of the hottest days of the year🥵
The task was not very demanding, as we only had to water the 6 flower beds Cultivate London has raised in the middle of the industrial buildings and pick up the litter around the area.
The highlight of the activity was Elizabeth who greeted us when we arrived and gave us her tips on how she is trying to sort out litter from recyclables (answer to our discussion about this particular problem in the previous mission); keep it simple, keep them separate, but not very far from each other. Blue bags for rubbish Vs Transparent bags for plastic, aluminium and glass!
When we arrived at the magic hut, Kash inserted the secret code for the key and abracadabra the hut's door opened and some water cans and litter pickers appeared. The rainwater butt next to that was almost full so we managed to give some well deserved water to the thirsty little trees and flowers. The magic didn't work perfectly, though, and the blue bags were more of a green shade, but out of nowhere some transparent bags appeared and our prayers about sorting the good from the bad were answered!
Cultivate London is a charity that provides horticultural services using sustainable, organic and biodiverse methods. They work with communities, businesses and local government to create and maintain enjoyable and sustainable urban green spaces and give local people the opportunity to learn and engage in food growing.

There is no comparison to your three wishes, Sevan, but I gave it a go.
