Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Kash
"Are you strong?", asked Mr C at the first sight of Sevan and, probably less promising, Kash.
"We got to be!" replied Kash.
The GoodGymers ran to Shepherd's Bush from Pitshanger junior parkrun but had time for a coffee break to replenish their energy.
"Here's the monster", Mr C introduced Sevan and Kash to his old cooker in the kitchen that was destined to be decommissioned.
The beast looked quite heavy but the GoodGymers didn't flinch and got to work. Sevan took off some of the loose parts to make the job safer and lighter. He also pointed out that they should double check whether the gas had been disconnected. Kash confirmed it was.
Seeing the layers of prehistoric grease, the GoodGymers put on their gloves and lifted the cooker from its resting place. The good grip and manageable weight were quite nice surprises. The team easily maneuvered through the corners in the flat. The monster descended safely six steps down to the street level in no time. In 12 minutes, Sevan and Kash made Mr C happy and assured that the cooker was left in a safe place for collection and didn't block the wheelie bins or the steps downstairs to Mr C's neighbour's flat.
Astounded by how easy the mission was, Sevan and Kash started planning what to do with the extra time left before their next mission.
