3 Goodgymers met on a cloudy Sunday morning to meet up with Peter the gardener and the Friends of Stephens House & Gardens. A regular Goodgym Barnet group run and community mission location there are always a variety of tasks โ€“ on this occasion we were assigned the job of removing weeds from the top of the rockery.

Armed with a Saxon trowel, forks, hoes and advice from Peter โ€“ โ€œif itโ€™s green and its growing really well, get rid of itโ€ we got down to it. Jenny and I found out very quickly that hoeing is tiring work! After about an hour or so Abi and I had to shoot off to another mission, so our final task before we parted ways from the rest of the volunteers was in the depot where we emptied a trailer full of branches.
