Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Seven sunny goodgymers turned up on a scorcher of an afternoon to help pack away St. Joseph's Hospice's Summer Knees-Up in London Fields. Whilst waiting free cake was given out: we were happy campers all. After a quick briefing we made light work of packing and carrying to the van all the things needed to make the event a success: cds, dvds, books and hoopla, tables and bric-a-brac.
We then went over to the main stage for a complex task - dismantling the stage. This involved spanners, co-ordination and Andy Lulham! We were worried but we needn't be. Another efficient briefing from staff from St Joseph's and wiz bang the stage was in pieces and no fingers were trapped.
After a speedy litter sweep we raced over to the Hospice and unloaded the van in record time. With dripping brows and parched throats we headed to the Pub on the Park for a post-mission pint or two and a Sunday roast for some. It was a glorious evening and we luxuriated in the warm glow of success lubricated by the superb ales on offer. It was certainly more fun than staying home and listening to the test match.
