Three keen goodgymers returned to The Kenilworth Centre to resume work on their garden revamp. We previously visited on a Wednesday night, but as the task was pretty big, a return visit and community mission was much needed.
There was plenty to get stuck into today as the centre are preparing for the delivery of new plants to revive this much used green space in the centre of town. Alan and Jackie set about digging the beds and turning over the soil, whilst Lil was on weed and root removal. Luckily, the recent rain made the task a bit easier today. We soon had several of the boarders cleared and ready for planting. We then set about clearing up the more troublesome weeds in the back of the more established boarders. Jackie removed several fierce looking brambles and Alan continued to rake over the beds.
All that was left to do by the end was have a good tidy and sweep up. By the end of the task, the sun was beginning to come out and the garden was beginning to look even more ready for the next stage of its redesign.
We can’t wait to return to see the finished garden design!
