Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
GoodGymmers assembled once again to help St Joseph’s Hospice with their fundraising jumble sale
St Joseph's Hospice need to fundraise around half of what it costs to provide services to their service users every year, and the jumble sales they do a few times a year are a big part of that. GoodGym always goes along to help them pack away afterwards – it provides a nice physical workout as a well as a warm glow inside.
After being briefly roped into selecting the winning raffle ticket, we split into different groups. A bunch of us began by taking across the full and empty clothes rails back across the cobbles, and trying to fit them all into quite a small room – as one GoodGymmer remarked, a bit like playing Tetris.
We also moved across the bric-a-brac, folded down tables, carried furniture and generally lifted and shifted whatever needed lifting and shifting.
Job done, we gathered for our now-customary group photo, attempting to find the wackiest items from the basement to pose with.
Slimmer pickings than usual this time around, but we’ll be back!
Thanks to Frances for the run report and Steve C for the run report title
