14 Hackney GoodGymers ran 6k to Hackney Wick community Garden to shift mulch, break up wood, pull out dead fruit and veg and eat an amazing amount of thank you treats!!

Tuesday the 18th is our last Group run of the year and we will be heading to Hackney Wick Community Garden before heading off to Tad Turkish restaurant for some food and refuel!! Be great if you can join and even better if you fancy a little Christmas Dress up!! Sign up here.

Run After Amy wanted to lead us to a totally random garden somewhere in Hackney we settled into a nice rhythm on our 3k run down to the River to meet Kirsty and the other Hackney Wick gardeners.

Getting stuck into breaking up a huge pile of wood, shifting a tonne of mulch, pulling out the finished fruit and veg from the polly tunnel and bedding down some of the flowers for the winter.

A cracking pace with high quality team work sped through the tasks ready for the next load of mulch and prepared the garden well for Winter!

With 40 minutes of graft under our belts we were handsomely rewarded with an epic spread of Christmas treats and Sage for our Christmas stuffing needs!

A bit full and a bit late we gently made our way back to base with a top top session complete!
