We met bright and early at the Lawns Café, armed with gloves and bags, ready to take on Friday night's beach litter.
Most of us formed a line and did a sweep of the beach all the way up to the end of the lawns. Tara and Sherman focused on the prom and the grassy areas.
There was certainly a wide variety of items for us to pick up, from wet wipes to disposable cutlery, and a few obscure items too, including one unfortunate person's solitary bikini strap. We hope you're having a better day today, whoever you are.
Afterwards Tara led us in a mobility focused fitness session on the lawns, to help loosen up our hip flexors and strengthen our glutes. Sherman tried to get away with a bit of a lie down mid-planking but as always Tara was having none of it.
Finally we dispersed, with half the group heading for a sea swim and those who were feeling brave carrying on for a sweltering hot run.
Thank you to everyone for giving up your Saturday morning. Hove's beach visitors are currently enjoying an even nicer sunbathing experience thanks to our efforts.
