Quote of the evening goes to Frances for "I feel like I’m having a ceasarean' whilst performing the scissors during the fitness session!
But first there was the meet up where we discovered our Victoria statue meeting point is fenced in for an impending Christmas market. So we gathered under a large elm tree where Frannie stole the show again by being sh** on by a bird! No one 'fessed up to any weekend running achievements for the intro speech but I later discovered that Rebecca had run a trail race at the weekend so congratulations Rebecca and glad you are back to running injury free again.
We ran to Hanover & Elm Grove ward, with the faster runners looping round our lovely Valley Gardens, and meet cllrs. Steph & David who deployed us round the ward on litter picking and graffiti painting duties. I think we are definitely winning on the graffiti as there was only a few tags to cover up, or perhaps they are fair-weather scribblers?
A Tabata fitness session of squats, abs and lunges variations rounded off the evening and for once we didn’t get heckled or gatecrashed by any drunken Levellers!
Cllr David Gibson is well on board with Goodgym and comes up with various tasks around the ward to keep us busy & useful.
