Three GoodGym Yorkies turned out for some post-parkrun gardening at Mr V's.

It had been a while since any missioners had been to Mr V's house, so the garden had become very overgrown. We started by pulling up handfuls of marestail to reveal a patio. Cutting back some brambles led to the discovery of a spade (that Paul later used to dig out some more brambles), and pruning the Wisteria showed off a stone badger that had been hidden in the undergrowth!

Once the patio was clear, Leanne picked her way into the 'lawn' area, brandishing a pair of shears to help her cut her way through to the green house, uncovering a footpath as she went. Having been to Mr V's before, she thought there might be a broom in there to help us tidy up. There weren't any more tools to be found, but there was a rocking horse hiding in the weeds!

There was no strimmer or lawnmower available, so we used shears, loppers and our bare hands to hack at grass, brambles and marestail until you could tell that there actually was a lawn.

With Mr V's back garden looking a bit less like a jungle and a bit more like a garden, we went on our way.
