9 very sweaty GoodGymers ran 5k to Moulsham Mill and InterAct to paint the shed

Evening all! Tonight the weather was a little bit toasty, if you hadn't noticed, which made perfect running conditions (not) to run to InterAct. Their shed needed painting as they hope to make it into an area whereby the kids can chat and get some piece and quiet. I can only apologise for the lack of before photos, because we did a great job!

After a speedy run there and Vic joining us on the way, we met Ali. We refreshed with some much needed water and set about painting. The shed is a lovely sea blue-green colour now! Gerry, Adam and Rachel got the vast majority of the inside painted white, and by the end looked to have spent most of the time flicking paint at each other. Meanwhile I dragged some algae out of the pond (and some whole plants as well whoops) and then went to take more photos! After finishing up and thanking Ali for volunteering to do the washing up, as well as having us, we headed off back.

As it was still light out and we hadn't quite run 5k yet, we stopped off for some running games! The girls won the first round of potato picking, then a hard fought draw was a fair result in the second round, with Joel left eating the dust that Rachel left in her wake. Hope you enjoyed the game, next time we will make sure there is a winner and the game can last a bit longer. I paid for 40 cones so may as well get some use from them! Thanks to everyone for coming and please let me know of any ideas of where to walk for our August social.

As I mentioned, Farleigh Hospice need a hand setting up for Bubble Rush on the 5th August. If you'd like to help out please email Francesca on francesca.lancioni@farleighhospice.org Next week we will be doing a task for Mencap, until then, happy running!
